POEM

Image
Artist Statement: For this project I wanted to use my favorite poem, and that's from the film, The !0 Things I Hate About You. The main female lead, Morgan, read this poem to Heather Ledger's character. I felt that his face and emotion would be the perfect picture for this project  POEM:   I hate the way you talk to me And the way you cut your hair I hate the way you drive my car I hate it when you stare I hate your big dumb combat boots And the way you read my mind I hate you so much, that it makes me sick And even makes me rhyme I hate the way you're always right I hate it when you lie I hate it when you make me laugh Even worse when you make me cry I hate it when you not around And the fact that you didn't call But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you Not even close Not even a little bit Not even at all

CREATIVE PROJECT

Hours worked: 10.5 Concept statement: For my creative project, I created an abstract impression of my bulldog Rupert. I figured I wanted to work with something I love and I love my dog. I composed his head and body of geometric shapes, including his distinct feature of his crooked jaw, emphasizing his one tooth and hanging tongue. After finishing the project, I realized I could've added more, such as his nose, a name or letter on the dog tag, a more interesting background and details like that. What . makes my piece successful is that it's very simple and minimal, you can tell that a beginner composed this, but I am very pleases with the work I have put in for this. Shapes used: 1 square 3 triangels 7 circles 1 trapezoid 1 arc (his collar) 1 quadratic curve (his tongue) 1 bezier curve (his crooked jaw structure) CODE: <!document> <html> <head> <script> window.onload = function() { var canvas = document.getElementById("
